Rotolo74 Posted May 25 Report Posted May 25 Hi everyone, I drew a flat helix and I'd like to convert it into many tangent arcs. Converting it to a polyline turns it into many joined line segments, which doesn't work. Quote
Adam Klaczek Posted May 25 Report Posted May 25 Convert the helix into a polyline with the PEDIT command. Then apply PEDIT to the polyline with the FIT option. And finally, explode it with EXPLODE. The result should be arcs. Quote
Rotolo74 Posted May 25 Author Report Posted May 25 I probably didn't understand correctly, but I don't see the Fit option in the screenshot I attached... Could you make me a short video? Thanks Quote
Adam Klaczek Posted May 25 Report Posted May 25 Unfortunately, I don't understand the Italian option names. Try invoking FIT by typing _F as you would for English. I showed it in the gif... It should work for any language version. Quote
pawmal Posted May 25 Report Posted May 25 Hello, Just use PLINECONVERTMODE to 1 before using _PEDIT and you will have arcs right away. Quote
Rotolo74 Posted May 25 Author Report Posted May 25 Thanks to both of you, I figured out what the problem was... basically, the list I had created wasn't perfectly developed on the 2D plane, so it didn't give me the option to convert... when I set the height value to 0, it worked. Thanks everyone. Bye bye dmatusz3 1 Quote
